At Go Myoko Ski School, operated by Canyons, there is an exciting opportunity to take an active role in the shaping of an up and coming new ski school, along with the development of the local Ikenotaira area as a whole.
Myoko Kogen was famously the snowiest place in the world in 2018/19 boasting over 17m of snow in that season. That wasn’t out of character either - Myoko has an average snowfall of 13.5m. The 9+ ski resorts that we operate from can give you anything you want - from the steep and deep, famous terrain parks and in-bound tree runs, to the wide beginner/intermediate slopes to teach your guests.
The ski school is based in Ikenotaira, a traditional Japanese town where Go Myoko staff build close relationships with the locals. Visiting onsens, izakayas and karaoke bars make up an ordinary evening. In nearby Akakura, home to one of the oldest established ski areas in the world, there is also a vibrant selection of shops, cafes and restaurants.
