The Snow Country Region (Minakami, Yuzawa, Nozawa & Myoko) is easily accessed from all directions, making it a great option for a day trip, overnight stay or an extended holiday.

Minakami - Yuzawa - Nozawa - Myoko
MINAKAMI
The name Minakami (水上) translates into English as 'the source of the water,' due to it being the origin of the Tone-Gawa, Japan's second-longest river. The same landscape that earned Minakami its name also creates a perfect playground for outdoor pursuits.
During winter, heavy snowfalls turn this mountainous region into a haven for a variety of winter sports.
Hodaigi & Minakami Resorts
We offer Private Lessons at Hodaigi, the most popular Minakami resort, where the soft snow and mellow slopes are ideal for learning snowsports!
The resort also plays host to many of our other activities including; Winter Outdoor Educational Trips and Snow Canyoning!
We are also able to provide Private Lessons at other Minakami locations upon request.
Access From Tokyo; Minakami is approximately 2 hours (141 km) by car or a combination of Bullet Train and bus.
