After 20 years of research in the Kii Peninsula, Canyons Kiho Base opened in July 2022.
We are super excited to be bringing our world-class style of canyoning and packrafting experiences to the Kansai region, with access from Nagoya and Osaka within three hours via the incredibly scenic Kuroshio line.
The Kiho area has amazing rivers and waterfalls and an awesome "inaka" (countryside) vibe with warm locals, great food and picturesque scenery. It is also a part of the Kumano Kodo Iseji route with our packrafting course also being a part of the old Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route to Hayatama Taisha Shrine.
This is the perfect adventure escape if you're in Osaka, Kyoto or Nagoya areas.
