Thanks to the elevation, you can often enjoy light, dry powder snow well into the spring. The resort is a favourite among Japanese ski touring enthusiasts, with a wide variety of backcountry zones, many of which are hidden gems known only to experienced local guides.
To make the most of your adventure and find untouched lines, we recommend visiting on weekdays and avoiding weekends or national holidays, when the easily accessed routes can become tracked out quickly.
