Toshi has been a member of Canyons for 10 seasons! He is from Nagano.

He is a guiding extraordinaire and works with us in both the winter and green seasons!

Toshi does guiding for canyoning, rafting, packrafting, hiking, school groups, backcountry tours and snowboarding!

What's your favourite part of working with Canyons?

The diversity.

What are your favourite parts of Japan's nature to explore and why?

My favourite part is the beautiful scenery in the mountains.

What is it like to live in Minakami?

I like to live in the countryside, with the good air, temperature and atmosphere.

What's your favourite Canyons' course and why?

I love Emerald Canyon. The beautiful water's colour like emerald green.

What should people try canyoning and rafting in Japan?

It's worth it to feel and jump into Japan's very clear water in the canyon and creeks.

What do you do in your spare time?

Mountaineering training for the winter season and backcountry guiding.

Why did you want to become a guide?

Guiding is a great job for making clients and myself refresh.
